The SPRINT project was proud to be represented at NordBatt 2026, held in Espoo, Finland and organized by VTT and Aalto University.

During the conference, David Wragg, Ulla Lassi, Dominika Baster and Mario El Kazzi presented recent results from the project, including collaborative work on sodium-ion cathode materials.
SPRINT is developing sustainable and cost-effective sodium-ion batteries for stationary energy storage, based on abundant and non-toxic materials sourced from European value chains. Through innovations in battery materials and manufacturing processes, the project aims to deliver safe, high-performance energy storage solutions that support Europe’s clean energy transition.
Participation in events such as NordBatt provides a valuable opportunity to share progress, exchange knowledge, and strengthen collaboration within the battery research community.
