Description and Role

PSI conducts internationally recognised cutting-edge research in the natural and engineering sciences. Scientists from all over the world carry out experiments at our large research facilities.  PSI develops, builds and operates highly complex particle accelerator-based large research facilities. These are available to both science and industry.

PSI will support partners in understanding and optimizing the cathode/electrolyte interface by in-depth and advanced characterisation of the materials, cells, and interfaces. In particular, using operando and ex-situ techniques such as XPS, X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS), and the impedance spectroscopy (EIS).
